M1A™ 4th Generation Aluminum Scope Mount

WARNING, if you are attaching this to an M1A socom, be aware that stripper clip is attached with a SET SCREW instead of a pin. If you try to punch it out it you will have a bad time. You will damage the threads and will have to drill it out. Don't ask how I know.

4 stars only because of making modifications which was mention in directions. I would think that maker should know exact measurements and could mill the part for perfect fit. Once I got all fitted have a great mount that holds well.

this mount fits perfectly on my National Match for the price, no issues as of this review and the scope i use is zero'd rather well, defenitly worth the price

Form and fit are perfect for my M1A. Secure and stable after careful installation. Highly recommend over other, similar products.

I have been a gunsmith for over 10 years. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to install one of these. First I will say this is a great product once installed. One issue I found that removing the pin from the top is very difficult to impossible. I suggest driving the pin out from the bottom. It was a breeze to remove that way. The rest of the install was easy. .

I haven't been able to use the mount yet. The directions say I have to remove the stripper clip guide. So far I have broke two punches and three drill bits and the guide hasn't moved at all. I am at a loss as to what can be done to remove it short of a torch. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Buy the correct part for your Springfield, one made by Springfield.
