When you buy this option, you're actually getting a 10-round magazine that has been modified. This picture is of a normal 10-round magazine. What makes this item into a 5-round mag is the block of wood inserted into the bottom of the mag.

Made extremely well and excellent when the shooter needs to fire from the prone with little exposure.

I was disappointed Springfield does not sell replacement springs for their magazines. I had to go elsewhere to purchased a 10 round magazine spring for convert my 5 round magazine to a 10. Springfield is not keeping up with the demand for their magazines. I only use OEM products for my firearms so I don't have function problems. :)
