Shield SMSc Micro Red Dot - 4 M.O.A.

I am in my 70’s and my vision isn’t what it used to be. Friends recommended I try a red dot as it would be faster to acquire targets. I purchased a Shield SMSC for my Hellcat and once I zeroed it I recaptured the joy I always had shooting pistols. I get on target quickly and my accuracy has improved greatly. Thank You Shield!

Very pleased with the red dot sight by Shield, installation was easy once I viewed the online video. I installed it with the riser spacer, and the iron sights didn't align correctly, until the video said not to use it on the Hellcat, now both red dot and iron sights align correctly. I lollypoped the red dot above the front sight, than fine zeroed at the range, after 12 rounds its zeroed perfectly at 15 yards. The red dot is far better than the iron sights on the Hellcat.

Very easy to install, once installed I went to sight it in, but to my surprise it was almost perfect. It really didn’t need tuned, but I enjoy playing with my new toys.

Awesome product. Fits my hellcat perfectly. Was able to get it zeroed in no time. Very accurate. I recommend using blue loctite for the screws when you install to keep the screws tight. Very happy with my purchase.

For my MDs-Mod 2, I used the short screws and a washer under the screw head. My issue was removing the cover plate. Heat with a soldering iron for one minute or you will strip the screw heads. Then use a T-10 hand screw driver. I assumed it used a hex head--my eye sight was not good enough to discern the shape. That will get the old plate off. Be sure to have some blue locktite to set the new screws. Save the cover plate. I'm not sure this will hold up.

Excellent product, easy to install. I do not have a bore sight, so i had to zero it at the range. Took a few shots to center and once done was very easy to use.

Perfect Red Dot for my Hellcat CCL.

The site works well, the issue is the instructions are lacking. Adjusting the site using the videos is lacking specificity. It says turn X number of clicks but doesn’t clarify which way to turn the dial. Dial has some instructions but they aren’t clear as to define if the turn that’s says Left means to move the site to the left or away from a left cluster. For almost $300 I would have like some more comprehensive instructions
