Compatible with 4" 1911 handguns chambered in .45 ACP, previously manufactured by Springfield Armory.  Also compatible with EMP 4" chambered in .40

Note: Not compatible with current 4.25" 45 ACP models

    Although the spring looked correct, my spring guide didn't fit through the end. I think the previous owner of my 1911 .45 may have modified the recoil set up. I'm taking it in to a gunsmith to see what he can do. I definitely have a 22 lb. spring. Really hard to reassemble this .45. It doesn't disassemble like the A-1 model.
